Daughter of the renowned pioneer Desmond Leslie, who includes Winston Churchill as a relative, Sammy’s family includes many fascinating and flamboyant characters. Sammy now gets to carry on the tradition as the proud guardian of the Castle Leslie Estate in Co. Monaghan. She took up the reins at the tender age of 24 and through sheer dedication and passion has now restored many of the wonderful buildings on the Estate. The Castle is now filled with life and laughter again, in turn Sammy has created a sustainable future for the Estate. Not a small feat, considering the Estate includes an Equestrian Centre, a Cookery School, The Hunting Lodge, Self-Catering Village Cottages, a Victorian Spa and 1,000 acres of land.
