Keep your healthy eating on track with Louise’s clever Lunch Ideas

Reading Time: 1

Most of my clients have no problem eating a healthy breakfast and dinner. But, where most slip-ups happen is at lunch time.

If you are On-The-Go, or haven’t prepared – lunch time meals can make the best laid plans fail miserably and lead to poor food choices. It is easy to fall into the trap of buying the quickest, easiest option that may contain the very hidden sugars that you want to avoid.

Preparation and planning is the best way to stay on track when you are out of the house and on the go. Even just knowing better alternatives when eating out can help.

Invest in a few glass jars, small containers and an all important thermos flask, all of which will allow you to keep your healthy lifestyle on track no matter where you are.

Here are a few options for On-The-Go lunches and snacks throughout your busy day.

Oat cakes with humus cherry tomato and turkey slices

Avocado, eggs and sourdough bread with black pepper

Homemade soup with raw veg (carrots, celery and cucumber ) and humus

Left over dinner from the night before in a lunch box

Green smoothie with egg muffins

Frittata made with eggs, onion, peppers, onion, spinach. Add a green salad

Greek salad with pine nuts & an Apple with nut butter

Wholemeal pitta filled with mixed leaves, peppers, tuna, tomato, onion
